Frequently Asked Questions
BY PLANE: Direct flights from Helsinki to Rovaniemi every day, all year round. In winter and spring seasons direct flights from England, France, Turkey, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Scotland, to Rovaniemi. Nova Galaxy Village is only 17 km from the Rovaniemi airport. More information on the airport here.
BY CAR: Rent a car or drive your own to Rovaniemi and Nova Galaxy Village. We have a free parking. Make sure you check the driving conditions and local traffic rules before you start, especially in winter. See road conditions and weather here.
BY TRAIN: Take a train to Rovaniemi from southern Finland or from the north in Kemijärvi. Train tickets are available in the VR Online Shop.
BY BUS: There is a bus service from anywhere in Finland to Rovaniemi. Bus tickets for example from Matkahuolto or Onnibus web sites.
- Check-in at 3 pm, check-out at 11 am. At an extra cost you may extend your reservation if there are available rooms. Please ask at the reception. A later check-out (11 am–12 noon) costs €50. Between 12 noon and 3 pm a check-out costs half of the daily rate of the room. We can storage your luggage in the reception if you are joining our activities before check-in or after check-out.
- Midnight sun season in Rovaniemi is officially from 6th June until 7th July but the days are very long even until end of July.
- The Northern Lights season from the early September until the late April.
- We are happy to help guests with any allergy concerns. Please, let us know if you have allergies at latest when you arrive.
- The room price includes cleaning only after check-out. Please ask at the reception if you would like to have extra cleaning during your stay, a change of bedlinen, an anti-allergy pillow etc.
- Please contact the reception if in need of first aid.
- All rooms have both heating and AC.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Smoking is not allowed indoors according to Finnish law. The fine for smoking indoors is €500–€800. Please smoke in designated area and dot not litter.
- A free Wi-Fi is available in the village area. Choose network “Nova Galaxy Guest”. No password needed.
